Donald Trump, the owner of several of the world’s best casinos, announced yesterday that he has filed a lawsuit against Timothy L. O’Brien, who wrote “TrumpNation: The Art of Being the Donald.�
The best casinos owner is also suing the book’s publisher, Warner Books. According the Trump, O’Brien and Warner Books have colluded to make “egregiously false and malicious statements.”
‘The Don,’ as Trump likes to be called, seeks $5 million in damages.
O’Brien is a celebrated New York Times Business Section reporter who has covered the career of the owner of some of the world’s best casinos for over a decade.
Warner Books has released the following statement pertaining to the matter of the lawsuit by the best casinos owner:
“Mr. O’Brien is an award-winning, veteran business reporter with The New York Times and his work, as does his book, ‘TrumpNation,’ speak for themselves. Mr. O’Brien has not seen nor has he been served with the court papers to which Mr. Trump is referring. But Mr. O’Brien welcomes the opportunity to meet with Mr. Trump personally at any time and in any forum to discuss the merits of ‘TrumpNation,’ a book in which Mr. Trump participated extensively and willingly.”
